5.1.4. Specifying a point with projection

The last three icons of the Reference toolbar define the coordinates of a point with the intersection point of a locked direction and a reference direction of a selected reference point.

You can lock direction e.g. with the Lock direction command, or with the Shift button. If you modify the length of the element, the direction is still locked.

 

!You can use these commands when the program is waiting for you to define a coordinate.

2These icons work as ’global switches’: the status of the last applied icon determines the reference direction. Perpendicular is the default direction.
